Reverse Keyword Search - Why It Should Be Your First Step

As an Internet Marketer, I'm always thinking about useful keywords to use in the copy for my web pages.  Years ago, I was introduced to Reverse Keyword Search.  In case you don't know what that is, I'll explain...

When you normally go to a search engine, like Google, you put in keyword terms and get web content that match that phrase as a result.  With Reverse Keyword Search, you put in a keyword term and get the number of searches for that exact term and similar terms for the past month.  You might ask yourself why this information would be relevant.  Well, I'm sure you've heard that "copy is king" and that keyword rich copy is favored by the search engines.  So if you had an idea of what terms people are actually searching for, you no longer have to guess at the keyword terms and could then target your audience based on what terms they search for.  Also, it gives you an idea of whether that topic is popular online in general.

This is very VALUABLE information!

These keywords are not only useful for web page copy and keyword metadata, but also descriptions, titles, and even domains.  Knowing this information up front could save you a lot of time and money used to buy additional domains that are more fitting and any time spent re-writing web page copy to benefit from the search engines.  This is Search Engine Optimization 101!  If you are looking for traffic, you want all the help you can get!

• KeywordSpy Keyword Search

The Google search does give information on AdWords competition, but the KeywordSpy search will give you information on your competitors which definitely gives you an edge!
